The Colfax Green Machine would like to invite you to sponsor the Colfax Wrestling teams during the 2009 to 2010 season. This season we are looking for sponsors to help cover the costs required to enter and participate in competitive level tournaments, hire additional coaches, and purchase equipment upgrades for the high school and youth freestyle wrestling teams. We are hoping to secure financial donations, products or services.

The Colfax Green Machine, Inc., is a 501(c)(3)tax-exempt non-profit organization, established by parents and community members involved with Colfax Wrestling, which helps the wrestling teams and other sports and enhancements programs at Colfax High School to fundraise.

Achievements
We believe in having a proactive approach to fundraising. We hold a monthly Bingo game in the community and invite you to attend! This year will be our very successful, third annual Crab Feed. We also operate a tri-tip booth at summertime events and hold other fundraising events.

With all of our fundraisers and generous donations from individuals and organizations, we have been able to achieve our goals. With the recent financial hardships of our educational system, gifts such as yours are greatly appreciated!

Benefits
In return for your sponsorship, you will receive high visibility with our young participants, their families and others coming to our tournaments. In addition, we invite the local media to report at certain events. We have a number of opportunities that could be of benefit to you as outlined on the attached Sponsor Levels and Response form detailing the different levels of sponsorship.

About Colfax Wrestling
Colfax Wrestling supports the high school and freestyle wrestling teams. The high school team comes from a small school where enrollment is approximately 1,000 students with around 40 wrestlers on the team last season. The 2008 to 2009 season was a proud one for the wrestlers as many of them made substantial personal gains and the high school team scored close to the top in league and many tournaments. The 2007 to 2008 season was very successful for the high school team as twelve went on to Sub-Sections, three to Sections and one wrestler to State! The 2006 to 2007 season was also fantastic for the high school team. The Varsity and JV teams won league titles and coach Jerry Sinkey, was named the PVL " Coach of the Year!"

The spring season freestyle wrestling team is a youth program for wrestlers age six through high school. It consists of about the same number of participants and has also sent wrestlers on to higher-level competitions. The freestyle program is run completely by volunteers and depends solely on the Colfax Green Machine to help with facility use fees and club registration. This sport is open to the community and this coming season, one of our goals is to offer freestyle wrestling "almost free."

Why Sponsor Wrestling?
Wrestling is not like some other sports, where size or natural abilities are required to succeed. It is a great sport that teaches life skills, such as commitment and focus. It is a mentally and physically challenging sport that is open to anyone. Winning is based on strategy, physical conditioning and technique. Not winning teaches you how to handle loss and move on. Wrestling is a tough sport, but if you work hard you can be successful!

We believe with the generous support of our sponsors, we will be able to take more wrestlers to the sub-sections, sections, and state tournaments and to make the Colfax Wrestling teams from one of the best wrestling schools!
