| Ponderosa Duals JV | Notable wrestlers were Ken Mathe, a sophomore went 4-0 pinning all 4 of his opponents in the heavy weight class. He pinned his first 3 opponents in the first round and his 4th opponent in the third round. Cory Wilhelm also went undefeated for the tournament giving a 5-0 record pinning all his opponents in the 189 lbs weight class. Cory is a freshman. Other wrestlers who attended the meet and wrestled well were Charlie Perry, a freshman, Mike Proctor who went 2-3 pinning one of his opponents and winning by decision his other mach. |

Vinny Corralejo wrestled to a 1st place finish at the 152 weight class going undefeated at 4-0. Joe Petersen 3rd Place at 145 lbs. after being out for 4 weeks. Ken Mathe WINS 4th at HWT after triple overtime! What a match! Josh Solomon wrestling with great potential and just missing the medal rounds. Jacob Halloran back after wrestling for just a few weeks in his Freshman year. Awesome job. Josh Partin strong young Freshman with a bright future. Cory Wilhelm another strong young Freshman looking to learn more technique. Michael Proctor helping the team this week and looking forward to Santa Rosa! |

Eleven wrestlers, Varsity and JV attended this eevent at Montgomery High School where over 50 percent won medals in the top six! JV Team Josh Partin (Freshman) wrestled to a 3rd place finish with a record of 4-1 in the 112 Lb weight class. Charlie Perry (Freshman) wrestled to a 2nd place finish with a record of 3-1 pinning two of his opponents and beating the third with a score of 2-0. Jacob Halloran (Junior) wrestled to a 2nd place finish in his bracket with a final record of 2-1 pinning one of his opponents. Varsity Team Josh Solomon (Senior) got 6th place in 140lb weight class, but was not able to finish his final match due to a injured shoulder, but still wrestled to a 2-2 final record Pinning 1 of his opponents. Joe Petersen (Senior) wrestled to a strong 2nd place finish in the 145lb weight class. He lost his final match to the host team of Montgomery . His final record was 3-1 Pinning one of his opponents. Vinny Corralejo (Junior) wrestled to a 3rd place finish with a final record of 3-1 with two of his matches going to a triple overtime where he was able to pull out wins in both matches. Ken Mathe (Sophomore) wrestled for his first time at the 215 lb weight class (coming down from Heavy weight) and was able to pull out a 5th place finish against a strong bracket. He went 2-2 for the day. |
